Every visit is private to your group. Whether it's a two-hour introduction to the herd or a full day in a llama farmer's boots, you'll get close to genuinely well-cared-for animals with real personalities.

Our most popular visit. Spend two unhurried hours among the herd: meet, feed, groom and walk the llamas, and try a little llama agility.

The ultimate gift for a llama-mad person (ages 9–99). Step into Caroline's boots for the day and get hands-on with every part of herd life.

Everything you love about the Llama Experience, rounded off with a proper cream tea taking in the Mendip views.

Outdoor yoga amongst the herd. Breathe, stretch and (almost certainly) make a few curious llama friends along the way.

A memorable, good-natured celebration with the herd at its heart, tailored to your group.

Hands-on, gently educational fun for younger animal lovers, with plenty of llama time.

Our trained llamas love a challenge. Have a go at guiding them through the agility course.
We also offer school & club talks, bespoke sessions for prospective llama farmers, and trained llamas for film, TV and photographic work.
Twelve llamas, a mix of home-born youngsters and rescued adults, each with their own backstory. Ollie's a three-time national agility champion, Misja's a national show champion, and Felix is our calm grandpa of the herd.

A newly converted, fully equipped two-bedroom cottage tucked into a quiet corner of the llama farm. Wake up to llamas on your doorstep, then explore the Mendips.

Caroline, keeping llamas since 2001.
Caroline fell for llamas on an impulsive visit to Ashdown Llama Farm in 1999. Two years of saving later, a pair of llamas came home to rented fields, and the rest, as they say, is history.
After nearly fifteen years on rented land, the herd moved to Hill House in 2015, and the family secured the remaining land in 2019. Today it's home to 12 llamas, a number that suits the land and lets every animal be known and cared for individually.
Profits from every experience, adoption and gift go straight back into providing for the herd.

“Caroline is absolutely brilliant! Her knowledge and experience with llamas made such a great day for my husband's birthday surprise. We learnt so much and it didn't take long to get to know their personalities.”
“A great day out for any animal lover. After feeding, grooming and walking the llamas we relaxed with a fantastic cream tea looking out over the nearby hills and fields.”
“We stayed in the Old Coach House for the weekend, next to the llamas. We absolutely loved it and got to meet all the lovely llamas (and a couple of alpacas), and we even took one for a walk! Adults and children both thoroughly enjoyed it.”
Book a private experience for two, plan a celebration with the herd, or treat someone to a year-long adoption. We'll help you find the right fit.
